New Adventure Website

Introducing the new Adventure website

With so many great websites passing through the Adventure studio each month, it doesn’t take us long to get bored with the look and feel of our own site. Style techniques and technical must-haves are evolving all the time and we work hard to stay at the forefront of digital design and web development. That said, it’s important to practice what you preach, which is why we set to work breathing new life into our own online presence.

What did we want?

A masonry wireframe. We wanted our new website to showcase some of the great design and build techniques we employ on our client projects, and opted for a masonry card layout which aids navigation, looks exceptional and delivers fresh content with every visit.

A sticky header. Accurate and fast navigation is king for any new responsive website and for us, that meant a sticky header. Visible at all times, but switching between a full Adventure logo and our stylised ‘A’ depending on which way your scrolling, this header makes moving around our new site quick and easy – an absolute must for maximising user experience.

A typewriter hero section. Some businesses use their hero section to deliver hard hitting sales messages, while others opt for emotive scrolling images. We wanted ours to showcase the Adventure personality and our service offering in one go – so the stylish combination of our heritage-rich office façade over-laid with some speedy typewriting seemed just the ticket.

The nuts and bolts of it

Like many of our client websites, our new site is bespoke designed and coded, making use of our own easy to navigate CMS system. The key focus is photography; it demonstrates our finest work through picture-intensive case studies and is programmed to re-populate the homepage tiles with new content from within the site structure.
