Folding Sliding FAQ’S
Do you have standard sizes and configurations?
Our folding sliding systems are available as standard in frame sizes up to 6 metres in width and 2.7 metres high. Each panel can be a maximum of 1 metre in width and 80kg in weight. Larger spans can be accommodated to special order.
What finishes are available?
Our folding sliding doors are available in engineered hardwood or oak. A wide variety of finishes are available in micro-porous water-based timber stains from the Sikkens colour range to let the natural wood grain show through - or any solid paint colour from the RAL colour range. Please refer to our Style Options section for our interactive colour selector.
What type of glass do you use?
Laminated 24 mm double-glazed units with low E glass and the option of trickle ventilation provides full compliance with current UK Building Regulations (please check with your local authority)
How secure are the doors?
Security is provided with the use of lockable flush shoot bolts along the length of the doors with three point locking on the opening leaf. All glazing is internally beaded increasing the resistance to forced entry.
Who is responsible for taking the measurements for the doors?
We provide a downloadable template for your measurements and individual requirements. The responsibility rests either with you or your builder for the accuracy of the measurements. Our measuring template is available online to guide you through the process which is exactly the same as measuring for a standard window. The measuring template can be found in our ‘Style Options’ section under measuring. Site visits are possible and would be at a charge. If you feel at site visit is necessary, please contact us to discuss.
